Adam Balon, co-founder of Innocent Drinks, will provide the keynote speech to a nationwide series of free business seminars on Wednesday June 20.
The seminars will be hosted by Barclays Business, in partnership with Growing Business and our sister site, startups.co.uk.

Balon’s speech, covering Innocent’s rise to pre-eminence in the European smoothie market, will be broadcast via satellite to seven different locations around the country, each of which will also receive presentations from local entrepreneurs.

In Birmingham, for example, attendees will hear an inspirational address from Perween Warsi CBE, the founder of ready meals company S&A Foods. Meanwhile Atul Bhakta, creator of courier company One World Express, will address attendees in Reading, while Julian Potter, the man behind Rothenberger UK, will speak in Glasgow.

Towards the end of the evening, all seven venues will come together once again via satellite to take part in a panel debate, before the evening is brought to a close with drinks and networking.

The seminars are intended to help attendees achieve business growth through product innovation, fresh marketing ideas and will look at growth at home and overseas.

Ian Wallis, editorial director of Startups and Growing Business, said the seminars are “a fantastic opportunity to see one of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs discuss how his business responded to the recession in 2008 – and to put questions to him and each of their successful local entrepreneurs.

“With live participation around the country, business owners attending will have a unique chance to learn how every business can unlock latent potential sometimes hidden within a business.”
